JOIN PAK ARMY AND GET COMMISSION IN THE CORPS OF SIGNALS
Applications are invited of young and energetic male candidates for Grant of Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) in Pakistan Army as information and communication technology officers in the Corps of Signals. The candidates must be qualified from reputed local/foreign universities/ institutions recognized by PEC/HEC and must fulfil the following criteria and eligibility conditions:-
Type of Commission:
Direct Short Service Commission as Information & Communication Technology Officers (ICTO).
Qualification:
(1) MS / MSc (18 yrs)
or
(2) BE / BSc (16 years formal regular education) in following discipline:-
Electrical Engineering
Telecommunication Engineering
Computer System Engineering
Computer Software Engineering
Information Security

(3) Only graduates of PEC/HEC (as applicable) recognized institution of Pakistan or abroad are eligible to apply.
(4) CGPA 2.5 / 62% for BE/BSc and 3.0 / 62% for MS.

28 years as on 01 November 09

Marital Status. Unmarried/Married
Physical Standard
Height-5 Feet & 4 Inches (162.5 cm Min)
Weight -Average Weight Standard should not exceed standard weight for given age and height (Physical Standard Chart for weight and height is available with all Army Selection and Recruitment Centres/ on our website).
Nationality. Male Citizens of Pakistan, domicile holders of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Northern Areas. Pakistani candidates having dual nationality will initiate the process for renunciation of their foreign nationality and will give an undertaking before joining the Army that they will complete the procedure for renunciation of their foreign nationality before completion of their training. Those failing to renounce their foreign nationality or to complete the procedure will not be granted commission. They will be liable to pay the training charges/bond money and will instead have to seek release/discharge from the Army.
Registration and Selection Procedure. Candidates can either register through Internet or by visiting AS&RCs :-
Registration At AS&RCs. Candidates will be required to report along with original necessary documents at following Army Selection and Recruitment Centres for registration/allotment of Roll No and date/time of written test etcetera:-

Registeration Through Internet. A candidate can register himself through Internet on our websitewww.joinpakarmy.gov.pk for preliminary test. Date and time of test shall be intimated through Internet, for which the individual should have an E-mail account. Candidate MUST attain working knowledge of computer as registration and test will be conducted on computers.
Scehdule Of Registreation/Test. Registration and Tests will be held as per following schedule:-
Registration-27 Jul 09 to 05 Aug 09
Tests -17 – 26 Aug 09
Written Test. The candidates declared successful in written test based on multiple choice questions and interwiew will have preliminary medical tests at AS&RCs.
ISSB Test / Interview. Short listed candidates will receive notice for ISSB tests through website as well as call letters.
Medical Examination. Medical Examination at CMH/MH.
Interview and Final Selection. By GHQ Selection Board.
Documents Required at AS & RC. Following certificates along with one set of photocopies are required at the time of registration :-
Matric/FSc/BSc Certificates/Degree. In case of ‘O’ lvl ‘A’ lvl submission of equivalence certificate issued by IBCC is mandatory.
Computerized National Identity Card along with Guardian’s Computerized National Identity Card.
2 x Colour Photos duly attested (front & back).
One set of attested photocopies of mentioned documents.
Candidates serving in Government institutions / departments will render no objection certificate from the concerned establishment along with the documents listed above through proper channel if falling within the age limit.
Ineligibilities. Following are ineligible to apply:-
Released, resigned or withdrawn from the Armed Forces or any of its training establishments on grounds of inefficiency or indiscipline / maladjustment or at own request.
Previously declared medically unfit by an Appeal Medical Board.
Dismissed/discharged/removed from Armed Forces/Government Services.
Convicted by a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude.
Rejected twice for Post Graduate Entries by inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) / GHQ/NHQ/AHQ for any type of commission in the Armed Forces will remain ineligible
Bonds. Selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of 7 years. The applicability of bond will commence on successful completion of basic military training.
Training/Commission
Military training at PMA for six months.
Grant of short service commission in the rank of Captain on successful completion of training.
3 x Years of ante date seniority at the time of commission.
Period and Liability of Service. Personnel granted commission under this instruction will be liable for service in any part of the world in the same manner as applicable to regular officers. They will be initially commissioned for 7 years . After completion of this period they will be given an option either to go on release or continue in service for so long as their services are required.
Eligibility for Grant of Regular Commission. Suitable officers will be eligible for the grant of regular commission in Pakistan Army.

    Why three years antedateseniority is not given after commission. Only 6 months antedate seniority is given.
